The Primrose School motto is “With the right foundation, anything is possible.” This, of course is a reference to childhood education, but it seems fitting that a school committed to building a better future would care about conscientious building. The Primrose School will be built using the most innovative technologies. Ace Air Conditioning is known for their environmentally responsible practices. As the mechanical contractor, they will contribute to making the building efficient, while also reducing pollution and waste and increasing indoor air quality. In the long run this, not only decreases the impact on the environment, but also saves money and resources for the school.

The mechanical contract includes installation of ten 16 SEER Carrier heat pump systems, ten programmable thermostats and ten smoke dampers with 120 volt electric actuators, as well as five square inline centrifugal exhaust fans and four dehumidifiers.

Construction will be completed in time for the school to open in August, 2012.

Ace Air Conditioning along with TDH Construction will be using energy efficient materials and building techniques in order in diminish this facility’s impact on the environment by reducing overall energy consumption. Ace is installing 130 highly efficient Daiken units. Each dorm room suite will have its own separate temperature control while using the same outdoor condensing unit. Ace will also install the kitchen hood and Ansul system for the cafe.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the state-of-the-art co-educational honors facility will be Thursday, October 22, 2010.
